Life is short, make it valuable.

With my birthday coming up tomorrow I've had a lot of thoughts running through my head.
Some good, some bad, some happy, some sad.
I am, for the most part, happy with the choices I've made in life.
Sure, I could have majored in photography - but didn't.
Yes, I got in to cookingschool. Turned that down too.
I'm a properly educated graphic designer - but never worked as one.
I took online classes in interior design and decoration, and got a diploma - but never followed through.
I can start a huge painting and fill the canvas completely, but I'll never really finish it. I can write two verses and a chorus to a song, but "forget" the bridge or the last verse and that seems to be me.
I never follow through.
Instead, I work in a hardware store, selling tools and paint and diy-stuff. But the thing is; I like doing that. I'm good at it.
I got married at 25. Always knew I'd marry some day and I always knew that when I did, it would be for eternity. Ten years in and I still feel the same way.
I guess that's the one thing in my life that I do follow through on - my family.
I have two of the most amazing little miracles safely sleeping in their beds upstairs. It's me and my boys. Perfect to me.
I can actually say that even though I have a few regrets - I am genuinly happy with my life.
So even though I have some could have - would have - should have's, what it all comes down to is that what I do today - who I am today - well, that is me.
And I kinda like me, you know. :)

Finally!!!

After what feels like forever, my wish has finally come true. Joey DeGraw is coming to Oslo to play! It's been a spring full of emailing, calling and a lot of organizing to try and get Joey a gig over here. It's felt like a ton of work, yet I didn't really get anywhere. Then my friend Monica stepped up and got Joey a gig at a small, but very cozy pub called Buckley's in Oslo. I'm exited. Thats an understatement! I get to see Joey in the city I live in. No fuzz with travelling and no stress what so ever. It will be amazing. All I need to do is to sit down with a drink and enjoy some great music. This summer is saved, no matter what happens, cuz I get to see Joey DeGraw LIVE! :)

Before.

Just thought I'd show you a "before" picture of the room we're fixing up... I'll get more pics as we go.. :)
