The olympics...

What to say... I'm not an athlete. I don't do sports - simply because I don't like it. I don't like football, I don't like swimming (unless it's in the ocean in the summer), I don't like wintersports of any kind... I'm basically just not into sports. So you can imagine my frustration when I sit down to watch a bit of TV at night, and all channels are showing reruns of last nights olympic activities. I'm saying reruns because the olympics are in Canada and thus in a completely different timezone ... which also means that you can read everything in the news early morning and have the results without having to watch anything at all... So again -> frustrating. I'd say that about the only thing even slightly interesting would be curling. Norway has a pretty good team and was so so close to kicking some canadian ass last night. Sadly, the boys missed by a single point, but came so close. I'll be keeping my eye on them, but thats about it. :) Pla...

New computer for mothersday.

Ok, so I'm about the luckiest girl ever! I know. I've been bitching about my laptop for a while. About how it's not "behaving" the way I want it to. I am difficult, I know that - and I have very little patience for BS! And when it comes to computers, well they either have to work properly or get the fu*k out of the way... So yeah, I've been bitching about it. It so happens I have the best husband in the world. Well - in my world, that is. :) Because he went and got me a new computer. A badass monstercomputer that I, after playing with it for about five minutes, already is completely in love with. And all he said about it was "Happy mothersday!" and "Happy Valentines!" One could argue that he is just sucking up - but I happen to believe that he does it out of the very kindness of his heart. And that's why I love him! Song of the day: "Miracle of Love" - Eurythmics.

MGP Recap

So... it wasn't half bad. :) It was a very good show and the audience was very much alive. There were some good songs and artists, a couple of them I could have been without, but all in all a great show. The fun part of it all was this; After it was all over we went back to the hotel my friend stayed at. Sat down in the lobby to have a few drinks. It randomly happened to be the very hotel all the artists were staying at. So after a while they started coming through the doors... Passing through - I would call it - as they were on their way to the afterparty. But we managed to have a few words with some of them, including Mark Read of A1. Now - A1 didn't win, but Mark was very happy to come second. He chatted for a little while before he had to leave. I would say it was an interesting evening! :)

Melodi Grand Prix

For years and years, the MGP have been a "thorn in my side"! Classic examples of what music should not sound like! In my opinion, good songs coming out of the eurovision are few, and far in between. So...although I'll attend tonight's norwegian MGP finale, I'm still no fan. I was offered a ticket from a friend, an awesome offer that I just couldn't refuse. And I will go in support of A1. I wasn't really a fan of A1 back in the day, but they have kind of grown on me. That may very well be because they are no longer a "boyband". And that they are indeed serious about their music. I like that! So here's to MGP, and here's to A1. If you can - please vote for them tonight. Thanks! Song of the day: "Don't wanna lose you again" - A1.

John Mayer and such...

Did you think that I wasn't going to blog today? I did. But then I changed my mind after reading something on twitter. I read a post about John Mayer . I've heard tons of stuff about John Mayer - both good things, and a lot of not so good things. And having heard so much stuff...mostly all bad, I've never really bothered to actually hear him. Truth be told - you could play a JM song and I wouldn't know it was him. Does that make me weird? I think not.... but you decide. :) So I had to check him out, finally.. and as always, google is my friend. So is youtube. I asked a dear friend what songs to listen to - but being my usual unpatient self, I found this video on youtube. And this . Aaaand okay, he kinda had me from the get go. Not his own song though, that first one, it just happens to be one of my faves! Lucky choice for John that one, and - omg, the voice! I get it. As much as I hate to admit it - I get what the fuzz is about. He sounds absolutely amazing. (oh, the a...

Just bitchy?

" Be the kind of woman that when you set your feet to the floor each morning, the devil goes; Oh crap, she's up!" Words to live by or just plain bitchy?? You tell me! To me, that quote is about being strong and independent. It's about not letting yourself be pushed around and it also means to be strong enough to make wise, strong decisions. To me - those things are important. What does it mean to you? I would like to know. :) Song of the day: "So What" by P!nk.

Happy Birthday Gavin!

One of those people I told you about yesterday is getting just a little bit older today! Happy Birthday Gavin DeGraw! Gavin is in sunny Florida writing for his next album. I'm quite exited about that. Gavin DeGraw is the guy behind songs like "Chariot" and "I don't wanna be" but to be honest - those songs doesn't really show off his full potencial. Gavin is one of the most underrated singer/songwriters ever :) and if you take look at this video you'll at least be able to hear what an incredible voice he has. Go check out his website for more info Gavin DeGraw playing a Jeff Healey-song called Angel Eyes!

Virgin blogger...

So this would be my first blog ever. And I can't think of one single thing to write that will get your attention. :) But Im still gonna write.. cuz that's just how I roll...hahaha. Short about me; enjoying life, music, design and family. *Life - is what happens as you wait for something to happen, right? Life is hard, life is fun. Life is what you want it to be! *Music - is what makes every day pass just a little bit easier. I would listen to just about anything, but only a very few impress me. The DeGraw-boys, Gavin and Joey, are a good example. But there are so many more. These days I'm enjoying some "pop with an electronic slap" aka What Jane did Next. Oh, and btw - if you can tell me if they will ever release anything new, I'd love you forever. :) *Design - is what I do. Or at least what I aspire to do. I guess you can say I'm a wannabe webdesigner. :) For now - that would be true, but I am going to school to learn how to do this the proper way. *Fami...
